Twenty20 for 20

Cricket BallThe England Cricket Board (ECB) and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have held more than 100 hours worth of meetings to tie down the exact details of a Twenty20 competition between England and a West Indies all-star team for the massive sum of $20 million.

The initial focus of dicussions has been on a five match series between England and a West Indies XI that would rotate for five years between Standford's ground in Antigua and Lord's in England with the winning team taking $20,000,000 for each match - the so caled "Twenty20 for 20".

More discussions have also taken place on a four team tournament between England West Indies and two other invited teams fighting for a 'meagre' $10 million bounty.

Players in the Twenty20 for 20 tournament will each take home around $1 million providing some solace for the English players who have been unable to play in the IPL, cricket's premier league. If the West Indies win the game, $15 million will go to the team and $5 million back to the WCIB with Allen Standford's goal being to improve the state of West Indian cricket.

If England win an unspecified amount will still make it back to the WCIB.
